📖 About This Game

Barn Raiser is a light, 2-4 player card drafting game designed by Aaron Frias (creator of En Passant and The Piker). It is a great filler game for large game groups or a good light game to play while your waiting for everyone to show up to game night. The game's theme revolves around the -18th and -19th century rural North America practice of "barn raising" (also known as "raising bee"). In those times, and still today in Amish and other small communities, members of the community would come together to build up a family barn. A lot of preparation is done prior to the build out and the actual barn raising event only takes one or two days. Barn raising usually consists of a mix of experienced and inexperienced local men and the help of some paid specialists. Most of the tools and supplies were all shared and gathered by the community as well. Based on this theme, the Barn Raiser card game was created.
