De Bellis Fantasiae: The Wars of Fantasy

DBF is a set of wargame rules that allow players to fight the great battles of fantasy literature, film, myth, or of one's own imagination, with miniature figures of between 6mm to 28mm scale, using basing that is standard across many rules. Based on fast play mechanics drawn from Phil and Sue Barker/s famous historical rule set, De Bellis Antiquitatus, battles of a flexible size can be fought to completion within 1-3 hours. Armies can vary, based on a points system, ranging from as few as 30 figures to over 100 for a standard sized battle. The book is complete, and no further purchases are required to play the game. DBF features clear diagrams throughout explaining play, a plethora of army lists, a magic system with multiple spell types, special rules for customizing the abilities of troops, and finally a suggested campaign system.
