📖 About This Game

Paris Match is a weekly magazine, the French equivalent of the American magazine "Life". The “Special Edition” game was designed by the editorial staff of “Paris Match”. The game mechanism is inspired by Trivial Pursuit. We move pawns on a board, we draw a card from the theme corresponding to the square, and we must answer the ten questions asked. The six themes are: Science, technology and health (green); Fashion and Lifestyles (Turquoise); Politics and political events (blue); Culture and entertainment (purple); Sports and adventures (red); Miscellaneous news and love stories (yellow). The period of events goes from 1949 until the end of the eighties. Each time a player answers a question correctly, he earn a token in the color of the theme. On the other hand, if he is wrong, it is up to his neighbor on the left to answer, and so on until the list of ten questions on the card is exhausted. When a player manages to accumulate 10 tokens, he wins a crown of the same color, which he stacks on his pawn. The winner is the one who first get the six crowns.
