📖 About This Game

In Kiltros, you being each round with 9 cards in hand and win by getting rid of all your cards and surviving that round. In a round, the attacker, first player, plays a kiltro ("street dog") card to begin an attack on the defender, the player to their right. The defender can either defend the attack, control the attack or loses the round. To defend the attack, the defender plays a higher numbered kiltro card of the same color as the attacker. The attacker can then do a follow up attack by playing a card that matches the same number as any of the cards played so far. The defender can then defend, control or lose as normal. To control an attack, the defender plays a kiltro card with the same number as the attack regardless of color. The defender now becomes the attacker and the player to their right becomes the new defender. If defender defends and the attacker does not do a follow up attack, the defender wins the round. All played cards are discarded. If any player has no cards in hand, they win. Otherwise, all players with less than 9 cards draw until they have 9 cards and a new round begins with the successful defender starting as the new attacker. If the defender is forced to lose the round, the round ends. The failed defender takes all the played cards into their hand. If any player has no cards in hand, they win. Otherwise, every player with less than 9 cards draws until they have 9 cards. A new round begins starting with the player to the right of the defender who lost the round. Kiltros cards are numbered 1 to 9 and come in 4 colors, green, blue, fuchsia, and black. Black kiltros cards are wild and count as any color. Pillerías ("clever trick") cards can be used to steal cards from other players, cause players to draw extra cards or cancel a move. Kiltros can be played 1 vs 1, as a free-for-all with 2 to 8 players, or in two even teams.
