📖 About This Game

Milites Blitzkrieg 1939-1945 was created with the aim of simulating the major battles of World War II in a reasonable amount of time. It was designed for one or more army corps per side: the player takes the role of commander-in-chief, so he or she will not be responsible for the tasks of junior officers, such as attaching or detaching cannons or determining the exact formation of individual units. The units reproduce all the main troop types of the period: they are classified according to their employment on the battlefield, with specific values representing their morale, resistance to losses, and combat capability. A base is equivalent to an infantry/artillery regiment or a tank/armored car battalion. Multiple bases form a division or a formation of similar size, in line with the military theories and doctrines of the period; divisions are in turn subdivided into army corps. The scale adopted, albeit with a whole series of distortions due to the fact that it is a game that is meant to be entertaining, allows us to simulate the most important clashes of 1939-45, on spaces that are not too large and of a not excessive duration. —description from the publisher (translated)
