📖 About This Game

(Nyapaato) is a memory game where players try to find the cats hidden in the different rooms of an apartment building composed out of the tile cards. Lay out the tile cards with the window-side facing up to create a square apartment building. If a player finds two cats of the same pattern, he or she receives one point. However, to make things a bit more difficult, if a player flips over an room with a ghost hidden inside, the ghost will rearrange the rooms of the apartment building in order to trick the players. Try to find all the cats in the building without running into the prankster ghosts. When all the cats have been found, the game is over. The player who has found the most cats is the winner. The title "Nyapaato" is a portmanteau of the Japanese onomatopoeic representation of a cat’s meow ("Nya") and the word "apaato" — a shortened version of the English borrowed word "apartment" which is commonly used in Japanese.
