Pandillas en los Tejados ("Gangs on the Roofs") is a Chilean board game from Ediciones Intangibles that invites players to experience the mischief and cunning of the cat gangs that rule the neighborhood rooftops. Each participant takes on the leadership of a gang with unique characters, who face off against each other to obtain treasures, defend their territory, and prove who rules the rooftops. The game combines light strategy with a narrative feel, is easy to learn, and is full of interaction between players. The gameplay focuses on traversing the rooftops, fighting over loot, and activating each character's special abilities. Collecting treasures is not enough: power cards, injuries, and betrayals between rivals mean that the game is constantly changing, forcing players to think about every move. Between quick turns and tactical decisions, the tension grows with the surprises hidden in the cards, where a mistake can mean losing loot or suffering an ambush from another gang. The main objective is to be the most prestigious gang at the end of the game. That prestige is earned by accumulating treasures, defeating rivals, or taking advantage of event cards that alter the balance of the neighborhood. At the same time, you have to manage risk: an overly ambitious leader can end up injured and lose the lead. The game of Gangs on the Roofs ends when there are no more treasures left to fight over or when the cards in the scratch deck have been used up. At that point, each player adds up the treasure points they have secured plus the points their gang has, and the player with the most points wins, establishing themselves as the gang that rules the neighborhood rooftops.
