📖 About This Game
åã®èããã©ããã®ã¿ã¤ãã«ã¯ä½ãããããã (Boku no kangaeta ranobe no taitoru ha nanika ga okasii)is a word game from Japan. Players are compiling a long and somewhat rude title of their light novel, and the designer gives the English title as "There's something wrong with the title of the light novel I came up with".
In this game, players take turns turning up word cards. They must turn up one card, and may choose to turn up more or stop. If any card they turn up has an â² icon, they must turn up another. Once they stop, they can collect whichever cards they like into their hand. They must take one if a â² icon was turned up, but otherwise can choose to not take any that turn.
Once a player feels they have enough cards in hand to make their book title, they can declare Complete! and stop for the round. When every player has stopped, they present their titles formed from all the cards in their hands and score points if possible.
The word cards show two words, top and bottom and the player can select which word to use. The cards may also show a Restricted Number (R2, R3 and so on) because those words are a bit rude in Japan. If a player's title totals R18, they are eliminated because they made it too rude for a light novel.
Before the round starts, three theme cards are turned up and players are trying to build a title matching the theme. This includes an R number, and bonus points for matching the theme. Players score points for the total of the R numbers in their title and can also score bonus points for using tricky words (marked with stars).
At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins, being able to craft the best long titles to suit the market.
description by user
Word-based party game about the long names of Japanese literary works called light novels.
Players combine different word cards, such as "different world" and "reincarnation", to create their own light novel title that fits the game-specific objectives.
Each word card has a special value called R-points. If that number is over 18 in the end, you are disqualified, but you also get extra points for the final score.
